Caramels
The Caramels are also called T+ and sometimes
Blonde. No matter what they are called, these are all the same
morph. Because of some unusual breeding situations, very few of these
exists in collections. The Caramels are beautiful animals that will make
gorgeous new morphs. I have a small group of them and hope to produce
some visible Caramels in the spring of 2011 and who knows, maybe some Half
Dwarf het Caramels or even better....maybe some double visual Caramels.
There's a lot of potential with these animals.

Caramel
Albino morph
How come I
don't see many Caramel Albino morph? I think there's only Caramel Glow (Hypo
Caramel) that's exist.
I have adult female that's around 900+ grams now (got her when she was 590 grams the end of last year) so I'm planning to breed her in a year or two. She's an early '06, but I don't powerfeed her. It's a shame, she never refuse food though lol
Caramel Pied sounds cool, but I think it won't be much different from Pied. Maybe I'll get male Pastel Ghost to breed her. So I can get Pastel het Caramel&hypo. Then hopfully I can make Super Pastel caramel Glow lol
A man can dream right? Any crazy suggestion?
here she is, I took this pic maybe couple months ago.

Caramel 2017
The
recessive color mutation, Caramel is elemental in producing morph compounds
like Butter and Amber.
Price:
$30.00
Description
Caramel (no aka)
Most Commonly Used Name: Caramel
Mode of Genetic Inheritance: Recessive
Morph Type: Single Recessive Mutation
Most Commonly Used Name: Caramel
Mode of Genetic Inheritance: Recessive
Morph Type: Single Recessive Mutation
Eye Color: Black pupil & body
ground colored iris
At first glance, Caramel mutants are not
usually attractive - since gold or brown color actions of this gene mutation
essentially replace the rich red tones predominant in most corn snakes. Aside
from their general appearance, the Caramel mutation has some unusual genetic
properties (compared to most recessively inherited corn snake gene mutants),
but this mutation is essential if you wish to eventually create yellow corns.
The most notably atypical characteristic
of this mutation is that of heterozygous(Het for
short) Caramels often displaying mutation markers(exhibiting
traits of the homozygous phenotypes).
It is not typical for out-crossed F1 corns to show
markers of their gene mutation, but from pairing a Caramel corn to a non-mutant
corn of any other color and/or pattern, most of the
out-crossed F1 progeny will exhibit a
blush of gold or yellow as neonates. In other words, most of the first generation
babies will not look like typical wild-type corns. As adults, most corns that
are Het for caramel are easily distinguishable from Hets of virtually all other F1 recessive out-crosses,
but since this is not always the case, the co-incidental caramel coloration is
thought to be the result of polygenic traits derived from the first non-mutant
corns that were paired with Caramel types. If this is the case, it demonstrates
the power of polygenetic forces by the persistence to show these colors after
hundreds of out-crossings - since the late 1980s when this mutation was first
discovered.
What to expect:
Caramel mutants are relatively lackluster,
when compared to some of their compound products (i.e. Butters andAmbers ).
There are still other corn snake mutations (both color and pattern) whose
out-crossed progeny will have modified appearance when paired with Caramel
mutants, so do not be afraid to mix this seemingly "lazy" genetic
color mutation with other corn snake mutations. Like most corn snake
mutants, both adult and neonate Caramels are
highly variable, spanning the color spectrum from brown to gold, and some even
exhibit green tones. As neonates, many Caramels are similar to hatchling Anery corns,
but as they mature, the typical caramel coloration slowly manifests. Some of
our lines have obvious blotch borders, but most have borders that are barely
discernible and some have no blotch borders.
Important Note:
The advertising images on our web site are representations of the average adult example of each morph. These images are not renderings of the actual animals being offered, (except for uniquely offered snakes found in theSURPLUS section of this web site). We do not provide pictures of individual hatchling snakes for sale, nor do we recommend that you ever choose a new pet based on an image of its neonatal form. Corns change so dramatically from hatchling to adult, they will NEVER have the same colors or contrasts throughout maturity. While most of the snakes we produce will mature to resemble the featured adult image(s) on our web site, unlike manufactured products that are respectively clones of each other, the nature of polygenic variation results in each animal being similar but not identical to others of its morph. The snake we select for you may not mature to be identical to the pictured examples, but will be chosen based on our experience of observing which neonates will mature to properly represent their respective morph. We take this responsibility very seriously, and therefore publish the guarantee that we will exchange your SMR snake if it does not mature to be like our advertised examples.

Caramel Motley
The Caramel Motley morph is a combination of Caramel and Motley. As hatchlings they have a grey ground colour with brown saddle pattern. The brown saddle pattern is broken up by yellow patches. Also due to the motley gene they have no pattern on their underbelly, its pure white. As an adult they have a yellow ground colour with tanned coloured saddle pattern and ywlloe patches breaking up the saddles.

Amber: Amber
Corns have both the Hypomelanistic and Caramel genes. The color may vary from a
golden amber to a light greenish brown. Rich Zuchowski originally developed the
Amber line.
Amelanistic: Also
known as "Red Albino" or simply "Albino". Amelanistic Corns
completely lack the dark pigment melanin due to a simple recessive mutation.
Amelanistics are generally combinations of orange, red, and/or white, with red
eyes. This was the first known mutation in Cornsnakes. The first one was caught
in North Carolina in 1953. In 1959, Bernard Bechtel bred the original specimen
to three normal females, producing babies that were "het for"
Amelanism.
Anerythristic
(Type A): Also known as "Black Albino". Anerythristic (Type A)
Corns lack all of the red and orange colors, due to a simple recessive
mutation. Anerythristic corns are generally grey, with black saddles. Adults
usually develop yellow highlights on the sides of the head and neck - this is
the main way to distinguish them from "Type B" Anerythristics,
although some Type B's do develop yellow. Anerythristics are known to occur
naturally in some populations in South Florida. They are also known from
Georgia and South Carolina. It is not known where the first captive
Anerythristics (Type A) were bred.
Anerythristic
(Type B): Also known as Charcoal. A second type of Anerythrism (lack of red
and orange) called Type B is also caused by a simple recessive mutation. Type B
looks similar to Type A, except that adults usually do not develop the yellow
head/neck markings. harcoals originally came from Pine Island, Florida. Bill
and Kathy Love were the first to breed them.
Blizzard: Blizzard
Corns have both the Amelanistic and Charcoal genes. Many may also have the
Anerythristic (Type A) gene, but it is not essential to produce the Blizzard
phenotype. Blizzard Corns are virtually patternless. Art Meyer and John Cole
first developed the Blizzard line. Credit for the name "Blizzard"
goes to Bill Love.
Bloodred: Bloodred
can refer to a Color or a Pattern. The Bloodred Pattern is defined by a lack of
belly checkering, some side coloration 'bleeding' onto the belly, and faded
side blotches. The Bloodred Pattern is caused by a simple recessive gene and
can be independent of bloodred Color. Bloodred Color is defined by a dark red
ground color, with slightly darker red saddles. Adults may approach a solid red
color. Bloodred Color is not due to a simple recessive gene. There are probably
many genes involved, as Bloodred Color is the result of line breeding. This
program handles the Bloodred Pattern. There's no way to accurately model Bloodred
Color, but if you want to treat it as a simple recessive mutation, feel free to
ignore the word 'pattern' wherever it appears. The original Bloodred line
(which had both the Pattern and the Color) was developed by Eddie Leach by
inbreeding corn snakes from Hastings, Florida. The line was later passed on to
Bill and Kathy Love, who coined the term 'Bloodred'.
Butter: Butter
Corns have both the Amelanistic and Caramel mutations. They look like Snow
Corns with extra yellow, which makes sense if you think of the Caramel mutation
as a new type of "high- yellow" Anerythrism. You might think of
the Butter Corn as a "Hyperxanthic Snow" Corn. The Butter Corn line
was originally developed by Rich Zuchowski.
Candy Cane: Candy
Cane Corns are nearly white, with red saddles. They can be produced by careful
crossing of Miami Phase Corns and light Amelanistic Corns, thus expressing (after
two generations) Amelanism in the high contrast Miami Phase background.
<Consider Candy Canes as Amelanistics in the Progeny Predictor program.>
Caramel: Caramel
Corns vary from a light yellow/brown to grey/brown, with saddles ranging from
caramel to chocolate brown. The Caramel gene is a simple recessive mutation
that may be a new type of "high yellow" Anerythrism. The original
Caramel gene came from a wild caught female corn snake that Rich Zuchowski
discovered in a pet store in 1983.
baru Anerythrism "kuning tinggi". Gen Caramel asli berasal
dari seekor ular jagung betina liar yang ditemukan Rich Rich
Zuchowski di sebuah toko hewan peliharaan pada tahun 1983.
